“Fiscal year 2022 was another great one for SIXFAIR Ventures”, reported CEO and owner Steve Fairbanks.
“Building on our successes in 2021, we continued to add value for our clients in both our core strategic assessment/planning services, but also in operational improvement, Board governance and executive/workforce training. We primarily accept assignments on a repeat or referral basis, so we judiciously choose our opportunities to serve”, he added.
Key 2022 highlights for SIXFAIR Ventures include:
- Strategic Assessment/Planning – continued guidance for a pandemic era start-up organization now over seven-figures in revenue and showing growth of 300% per year.
- Focused Executive/Workforce Education – Facilitated focused training in key client requested areas. (By “focused” we mean this training is not a general “canned” session but one tailored to our specific client). For example, our “Financial Statements for non-Finance Majors” sessions included Income Statements and Balance Sheets from the organization itself, so students learn both the basic subject material (Part 1) and immediately apply that learning towards the intended understanding of the organization (Part 2). Similarly, Operations Optimization/Lean training sessions also embrace details from the organization (i.e., a “Value Stream Map” training session included a VSM directly from the client’s operation). We find the client learning and retention significantly improves with this focused approach.
- Speaking/University Lectures – Continued outreach in both undergrad/MBA school settings.
- Board Governance – Worked with clients in developing the four “Major Board Deliverables.”
- Operational Excellence – Facilitated clients with assessment, definition of issues/bottlenecks and development/implementation of corrective action items.
Fairbanks again commented, “We are thankful for the trust and confidence our partners place in us, and in turn enjoy seeing them grow and prosper as a result”.
